Coach Shawn high five

Coach Shawn with some of TTC TeamHead Coach Shawn Scott

After organizing a small group that practiced and competed in the 2013 State Games of America meet in Harrisburg, Coach Shawn decided to take the next step and form an official club. Over the last five seasons, Shawn has grown TTC from a dozen interested kids to more than 100 members! He has coached athletes through both casual and formal meet formats including the Junior Olympic series meets. And, he’s had the privilege of coaching two athletes who have competed at the national Junior Olympic Championships.

While competition is important, Coach Shawn believes in hard work and a never-give-up attitude. He loves to see these kids have fun and get excited about what they’re doing. “It’s ok to be nervous, but don’t be scared,” is his motto for the youngsters who are entering their first meet experiences.

Coach Shawn lives in York Suburban School District with his wife, Lissa, and two children. Shawn has previously coached track at the high school level and was a state qualifying sprinter for his high school track team. While he has never considered himself a distance runner, he has also completed three half marathons. Go Coach!

TTC is an organization built on a shared love of Track & Field and a lot of volunteer hours investing in these youth athletes. Thank you for all you do to teach, mentor and lead these kids – we couldn’t do this without you!

Coach Josh Mayberry
Josh is TTC’s Javelin coach and we’re excited to be bringing back Turbo Jav! While in high school, he ran for Lebanon HS’s Track & Field and Cross Country teams. Josh competed in Long Jump, Triple Jump, High Jump, 300m Hurdles and Javelin. After high school, he attended Thaddeus Stevens College where he threw Javelin and Hammer and placed 3rd at the NJCAA Regional Championships in New York. Coach Josh is very excited to be working with our young TTC athletes to help them achieve all of their personal goals!

Coach Marchant Rolle
An avid Track & Field fan, Marchant wants to spread his love of Track & Field and all the intangibles that one receives from competing in athletics. Coach Marchant was a four-year varsity sprinter in High School. He has three children, two are Trojan Track athletes, Milton and Marcella. He assists the young athletes with warm ups and drills at practice.

Coach Nikki Weaver
Nikki grew up and participated in track locally at Red Lion High School. After high school, she attended Slippery Rock University where she competed in the 100m and 400m hurdles and was a member of the 4×100 and 4×400 relay teams. While at Slippery Rock she was a two-time All-American and earned a 3rd place finish in the Division II National Championships in the 400m hurdles. This is Coach Nikki’s fifth season with TTC and we are excited to have her help lead our hurdlers.

Coach Dave Weaver
Dave began running track as a distance runner at Mechanicsburg High School but transitioned to sprinting and hurdling. He went on to be a sprinter/hurdler at a collegiate level for Slippery Rock University. He now enjoys distance running with a local running group. Coach Dave has been coaching with us for the past five seasons.
