USATF Mid-Atlantic Association Championships

This meet is traditionally the first meet in the Junior Olympic series. However, due to COVID restrictions varying throughout the country, USATF has eliminated the advancement requirement of this series. Mid-Atlantic Association has chosen to offer the meet as an Invitational event.

Field Events
Start at 8:00am, then rolling schedule. Flights may combine age groups.
Long Jump
Triple Jump (ages 13 & up – begins after long jump)
Turbo Javelin (ages 10 & under)
Aero Javelin (ages 11-12)
Javelin (ages 13 & up – must supply implement)
Shot Put
Discus (ages 11-12, 13-14)

Warm-ups: Track is open for warm-ups until 7:50am. After that, athletes must warm up outside the track. A call will be made to allow hurdlers to warm-up over hurdles prior to their races.

REGULATIONS/INFO

This meet is offered to the following age groups:
Age determination as of December 31, 2021

8 & Under: Year of Birth 2013 or later
9–10: Year of Birth 2011-2012
11–12: Year of Birth 2009-2010
13–14: Year of Birth 2007-2008
15–16: Year of Birth 2005-2006
17–18: Year of Birth 2003-2004

Each athlete must compete in his/her age division only. There will be no “moving up” in any events, including relays.
Competitors in the 8 & Under, 9-10 and 11-12 Divisions may compete in a maximum of three events, including relays.
Competitors in the 13-14, 15-16 and 17-18 Divisions may compete in a maximum of four events, including relays.
Parents and coaches are not permitted in the check-in area unless checking in an athlete who is competing in another event.
Competitors must wear their assigned bib number during competition.
Only ¼” spikes are permitted on the track. Meet management will provide starting blocks and batons.
Ribbons will be awarded for 1st through 3rd place.
**Relays will be determined by TTC Coaches. If participating in a relay, TTC will enter you accordingly – Enter/select your other events.
Participant and Release form is required with meet entry and TTC will authorize on behalf of the athlete’s parent/guardian. View the waiver form.

ENTRY FEES

$8 per event
Entries and meet fees must be to TTC/Coach Shawn on or before Tuesday, June 8.
